Did you know...

Gulls are part of the Laridae family.  They are scavenger birds known for stealing food even from the hands of humans.  While sitting at a picnic table, I turned my head for a moment and my sandwich was stolen right off my plate!  Live food includes small aquatic prey.  Gulls do very well co-habiting with humans in rural areas.

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has a great site
where you can hear what various birds sound like.  (Linked with permission)
