you ever wonder where animals live?
Where are there homes?
This presentation explains that some animal homes are meant for just one
animal, some for a mother and her babies and some for large groups of
animals. Just as humans have
preferences where they build their homes, so do animals.
Students will learn that an environment in which an animal lives is
called its “habitat” and that a habitat provides a space for the
animal to live, water, food and shelter.
Animals make their homes within their habitats.
examples of the many animal dwelling places are shown and include animal
homes in trees, burrows, webs, hives, shells, the open range, houses,
water, barns, nests, caves, and galls.
will further learn that while some animal homes are easy to spot, others
are camouflaged to protect the animal from predators.
terms: lodge, burrow,
